This complex job is managed by Supply Chain teams that work with a network of over 50 distribution centers, thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide, making the impossible happen every single day. This job opening is for the North American Logistics Facility located at 3100 New Frayser Blvd, Memphis, TN 38128. As a Distribution Center Coach, you will lead and influence the input/output of employees' production. You will actively listen and address employees' concerns while working in harmony with the Flow Support Center to make the best business decisions. Your role will involve processing multiple demands to maximize the Distribution Center's output, conducting follow-up meetings, and proactively assessing the quality of work performed by employees. You will provide your team with the proper procedures and resources needed to achieve results, manage your departmental budget, and update the Production/Status Report daily. Additionally, you will monitor, review, and research Kronos and Control Plus reports daily to ensure the accuracy of your team's production records and paychecks. Maintaining a high level of floor presence will be essential to direct the flow of work and manage the necessary movement of the team. You will also counsel employees on conflicting issues while interacting with HR for the best solutions and documenting results. Attending workflow meetings to plan strategy, discuss pertinent information, and share best practices with teammates will be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a related discipline and at least 3 years management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment; or an additional 2 years in lieu of a degree is preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience managing employees required.
  • Working knowledge of automated distribution systems and departmental budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • PC skills required, experience with Excel, Word, SAP, DCMS and Kronos would be a plus.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, attentive to details, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to embrace and promote others' ideas, motivate employees, and build working relationships.
  • Understanding and fostering a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to work overtime with little or no notice before or after scheduled shift.
  • Ability to access all areas of the warehouse and lift up to 50 lbs.
