About the position

The Distribution Center Custodian position at Rheem Manufacturing is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety within the Air Conditioning Division's facility in Lewisville, TX. This role involves performing various janitorial tasks, ensuring equipment and floors are clean, and maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies. The position requires a professional demeanor and the ability to work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment is free of grease, oil, residue, and other materials.
• Cleans floors around machinery and elsewhere in the facility as assigned.
• Performs other basic janitorial services to ensure the facility is clean and safe; tasks may include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and stocking in the facility as required.
• Painting, sweeping, mopping.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, and work to maintain constructive professional relationships.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills.
• Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes.
• Ability to use power cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly.
• Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment.
• Basic understanding and use of the English language is required for the safe and effective performance of the job.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with an Industrial Sweeper/Forklift preferred.
