About the position

The Inventory Manager at Ryder System is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of accounts within the Supply Chain Solutions division. This role includes managing both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to analyze financial data to ensure account profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolving performance issues and ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine needs and expectations, operating the account to meet those demands.
  • Responsible for payroll of employees.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements to determine account profitability and provide financial data and operations reports to senior management.
  • Manage accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing.
  • Hold Safety & Security meetings, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
  • Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations advanced required.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements advanced required.

  • Ability to prioritize, structure and schedule tasks to maximize effort and meet deadlines.
