About the position

The Distribution Center Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory control across the enterprise, ensuring the proper handling and security of products while fostering a positive work environment. This role involves managing team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards within the distribution center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and ensures products are handled properly to minimize damage and preserve quality.
  • Maintains the security and condition of all beer and other merchandise in inventory.
  • Verifies by physical count of merchandise stored in the distribution center and ensures proper rotation of product.
  • Prepares required reports and counts, including month-end dunnage counts and close code reports.
  • Manages and monitors the distribution center space utilization and proactive product setup.
  • Ensures team member safety and compliance training is completed timely and records are maintained.
  • Provides timely coaching and feedback to DC team members.
  • Interviews, trains, evaluates, and develops DC team members.
  • Ensures team member safe use of all warehouse equipment.
  • Assists with product recalls, counts, and verifications, ensuring proper tagging and storage of recalled products.
  • Monitors and communicates the movement of close-dated products and removes them from inventory as required.
  • Manages the handling, rework, documentation, storage, and disposal of damaged and out-of-date products.
  • Maintains related equipment and ensures the distribution center is clean and organized at all times.
  • Promotes a safety-oriented culture and corrects unsafe situations promptly.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent Certificate
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Five Plus Years of Distribution Experience or Market Experience
  • Forklift and Equipment Experience and Certification
  • Strong Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Other Related Field
  • Ability to Influence Others
  • Class A CDL License
