About the position

The Distribution Center Operations Manager at CVS Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated area within the distribution center. This role involves planning, organizing, and managing activities to meet production schedules and operational goals while ensuring high service levels to store operations. The manager will also develop and implement strategies to enhance performance and cost efficiency, manage budgets, and promote a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule, forecast, and coordinate work to meet production schedules and operational goals.
• Review and analyze production, quality, and operational reports, initiating changes as needed.
• Develop and implement plans, procedures, programs, and strategies to enhance performance and service levels.
• Prepare departmental budget and control expenditures against the approved budget.
• Administer policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
• Address employee issues professionally using appropriate resources.
• Develop a supervisory staff focused on team building and performance accountability.
• Ensure maximum utilization of manpower and equipment.
• Promote safety and security awareness among staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of prior leadership/management experience in a distribution/manufacturing/retail environment.
• 1+ years of warehouse management system (WMS) experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years of prior management experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma experience.
• Labor Management System (LMS) experience.
