About the position
The Distribution Center Operations Supervisor at CVS Health is responsible for leading a team of up to 90 non-exempt employees in a state-of-the-art distribution facility. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising daily activities to achieve performance goals and metrics. The supervisor will oversee order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders while maintaining high productivity and quality standards. The position requires availability for 2nd shift work, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires.
- Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to complete tasks successfully.
- Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve daily production and delivery goals.
- Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day to meet projected completion times.
- Monitoring employee performance to ensure quality and quantity standards are met or exceeded.
- Conducting staff meetings and verifying timely completion of daily worksheets.
- Providing ongoing training and retraining to meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Utilizing reports and procedures to project workload and resolve daily problems.
- Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Analyzing information to make sound business decisions.
- Building high-performance teams and inspiring colleagues.
- Promoting safety and security awareness and compliance among all colleagues.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of prior supervisory or group leading experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- 1 year experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday - Friday (starting from 1PM) with some additional flexibility.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Minimum 5 years of prior supervisory or group leading or managerial experience in an automated facility.
- Experience as a warehouse supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Background in Six Sigma production techniques.
- Bilingual Spanish.
