About The Position

The Distribution Center Operations Supervisor at TJX Companies is responsible for overseeing the efficient, productive, and safe operation of a department within the Distribution Center. This role involves managing daily production requirements, ensuring high levels of quality and service, and maintaining a motivated workforce. The supervisor will spend a significant amount of time on the floor, directly engaging with associates to drive performance and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory role within a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Previous experience managing diverse teams of 20+ associates.
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and development skills.
• Proficient in math and PC skills.
• Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict effectively.
• Ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders.
• Availability to support multiple shifts.
• Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities within the department, including planning, flow, and resource allocation.
• Ensure that production requirements are met or exceeded while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Spend a minimum of 90% of the shift on the floor, reviewing orders and directing associates.
• Develop and motivate associates, ensuring high morale and adherence to company culture.
• Build effective relationships with business partners, including management, HR, and transportation teams.
• Communicate effectively with associates and management to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Review practices and processes for constant improvement and make recommendations.
