About the position

As the Distribution Center Operations Supervisor at CVS Health, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of over 18 non-exempt employees within our state-of-the-art distribution facility located in Conroe, Texas. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily operations of an assigned shift, ensuring that all activities align with our performance goals and metrics. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities to maintain a high level of productivity and quality in the order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. In this role, you will be tasked with scheduling and assigning work to employees, providing them with the necessary equipment, materials, and documentation to successfully complete their tasks. You will also need to determine the appropriate staffing levels based on the daily volume and type of work, ensuring a balanced workload by monitoring performance throughout the day and readjusting staffing as necessary to meet projected completion times. Monitoring the work performance of each employee is essential, as you will ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded. This will involve providing ongoing training and retraining to prepare employees to meet productivity standards. You will utilize various reports and summaries to project workloads and resolve any issues that arise during the workday, while also administering company policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Additionally, you will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and training new employees, as well as communicating effectively across all levels of the organization. Building high-performance teams and championing safety by maintaining a clean and safe work environment will be key aspects of your role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2 years of prior supervisory experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

  • Ability to complete assignments within established timelines.
  • Ability to complete work under general supervision.
