About the position
The Distribution Center Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing outgoing and incoming shipments at Colson Group USA's facility in Palmetto, GA. This role involves organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and ensuring the accuracy of stock levels while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities
- Pack, prepare and ship inventory to customers or storefronts.
- Read incoming orders and efficiently select items from warehouse shelves for shipment.
- Inspect goods and their containers for possible damage before packing.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Document damages to inventory and assist in inventory control.
Requirements
- Minimum of one-year experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Knowledge of distribution processes including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners.
- Ability to use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Epicor 10 is a plus.
- Ability to lead and problem solve effectively.
