About the position

The Store Replenishment Specialist at The Container Store plays a crucial role in the logistics and distribution operations by ensuring timely and accurate inventory replenishment. This position involves utilizing advanced voice picking technology to efficiently pick and load retail merchandise onto store trailers, maintaining optimal stock levels to support smooth retail operations. The role is full-time, offering competitive hourly rates in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the voice picking system to fulfill store replenishment orders accurately and efficiently
  • Organizes and arranges items within the truck or delivery vehicle to maximize space utilization and prevent damage during transit
  • Ability to adapt and switch between tasks as needed during the shift
  • Picking and loading products varying in size and weight (heavy, light, fragile)
  • Comfortable working in multi-level picking modules and around conveyor systems
  • Maintains a safe work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures
  • Supports and works in various departments throughout the Distribution Center
  • Maintains inventory accuracy throughout the Distribution Center

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to acquire proficiency in operating equipment such as walkie riders or counterbalances/pacers
  • Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines by utilizing strong time management skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in communicating effectively with team members across various departments
  • Capability to optimize and utilize space efficiently, demonstrating strong spatial awareness
  • Experience working in a highly automated distribution environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of various distribution systems such as labor management system, radio frequency devices, and voice picking preferred
  • Ability to stand 100% of the time and walk approximately 50% of the time with the ability to lift up to 47 pounds independently
  • Arrives on time and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled shift time and committed to working scheduled hours with flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
  • Ability to make strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of customers and the company
