About the position

The Distribution Center Supervisor at HomeGoods is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the department within the Distribution Center. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring high levels of quality and service, and maintaining a motivated workforce. The supervisor will spend a significant amount of time on the floor, directly engaging with associates to drive productivity and morale while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities within the department, including planning, flow, and resource allocation.
• Develop and motivate associates, ensuring high morale and adherence to company culture.
• Build effective relationships with business partners, including management, HR, and transportation.
• Communicate effectively with associates and management to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Review practices and processes for continuous improvement and make recommendations.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory role within a distribution center or similar environment.
• Previous experience managing diverse teams of 20+ associates.
• High School diploma required; College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, coaching, and development skills.
• Proficient in math and PC skills.
• Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
