About the position

The Inventory Supervisor will oversee the operations of the inventory control department within the distribution center. This leadership role involves assigning tasks to inventory control employees, ensuring adherence to safety policies, and maintaining productivity and quality standards. The supervisor will lead by example, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency while managing daily activities to meet customer requirements for inventory accuracy and replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the inventory control department.
• Assign work functions to inventory control employees as necessary.
• Ensure daily workload is completed in a timely manner.
• Lead by example to develop a culture that embraces safety, quality, and productivity.
• Manage the cycle counting program and inventory accuracy.
• Work cooperatively with other distribution center supervisors and employees.
• Motivate and lead the inventory control team.
• Take action when safety, quality, and productivity procedures are not followed.
• Complete reports and records in a timely manner.
• Train employees on equipment use and inventory management.

Requirements

• Minimum of three to five years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
• Previous leadership experience as a manager or supervisor.
• Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (e.g., Epicor P21, SAP, Oracle NetSuite).
• Experience with forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory control.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures in a warehouse environment.
