About the position

The Distribution Center Supervisor at Brookwood Community is responsible for managing the production and design planning for the production team, overseeing inventory and raw materials in the warehouse, and ensuring efficient distribution of products. This role involves supervising the shipping and receiving department, managing a warehouse team, and ensuring sustainable operations that support the organization's mission of providing meaningful work for adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and design planning for the production team.
• Oversee inventory and raw materials in the warehouse.
• Supervise the ordering, shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of raw materials.
• Oversee the receipt, processing, and distribution of market merchandise from vendors to retail locations.
• Provide supervision and work direction to the Shipping and Receiving Department staff.
• Recruit, interview, and hire new staff.
• Train new and current employees.
• Plan, assign, and delegate work to team members.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and manage employee performance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and inventory/distribution software.
• Experience in product distribution and processing in small to mid-size retail establishments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Shopify and Stockey software.
• Knowledge of retail sales.
