About the position
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising all distribution center activities performed on their shift. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work. Lead inbound/outbound operations to meet all Safety, Inventory and Productivity KPI's. The position is based out of Hayward, CA, and offers a salary range of $80,000.00 to $92,000.00, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all distribution center activities on shift
- Interview and train employees
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Lead inbound/outbound operations to meet Safety, Inventory, and Productivity KPIs
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment
- Maintain security of the Distribution Center
- Ensure accuracy and damage-free inbound/outbound shipments
- Coordinate receiving, shipping, picking, and packing activities
- Establish work schedules and ensure proper job implementation
- Complete records and reports in a timely manner
- Utilize Workforce Management System (WMS) metrics to increase productivity
- Evaluate policies and procedures for efficiency improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years of Warehouse or Distribution Center experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience preferred
- Certified to operate all material handling equipment (forklift, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack, Electric Reach Truck, High-Reach Narrow-Aisle)
Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in Distribution Center Management Software (WMS), AS400, or other systems
- Knowledge and experience in Lean and Process Flow Layout in Distribution Centers
