About the position

The Distribution Center Supervisor at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Distribution Center (DC). This position involves overseeing daily activities, managing team members, and maintaining a safe work environment while meeting company standards and customer demands. The supervisor is responsible for training staff, resolving customer issues, and promoting teamwork within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-free
  • Manage daily activities of the distribution center, including oversight of team members and ensuring productivity goals and KPIs are met
  • Conduct and facilitate on-boarding of new employees including activities regarding 'Best Day Ever'
  • Effectively manage employee turnover, including recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching employees
  • Facilitate and coordinate compliance with required CBT courses associated with all DC personnel
  • Delegate tasks as needed and follow-up with employees to ensure that tasks are being completed
  • Prepare the weekly payroll submission and assure accurate information is being submitted
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory including meeting company shrink or loss goals
  • Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards
  • Maintain company attendance standards
  • Recognize and resolve customer issues or complaints by determining optimal solutions in a timely manner

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years' experience supervising and training 15+ employees
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must have clean and consistent record of safety
  • Forklift Certification
