About the position
The Distribution Center Supervisor at Jofran Inc. is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the distribution center, ensuring efficient workflow and effective team management. This role involves assisting the Warehouse Manager in planning and directing team assignments, training new hires, and maintaining safety and operational standards in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in setting the daily operational plan.
- Direct team member working assignments and communicate job expectations.
- Train new hires, department transfers, and temporary associates on proper work procedures and equipment operation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of warehouse experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is necessary.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards is essential.
- Ability to operate a forklift is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management.
