The Distribution Center Warehouse Assistant Supervisor-Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in the Purchasing/Distribution Services department, assisting the Distribution Center Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing the operations of the Distribution Center. This position involves significant responsibility in managing personnel and various inventory-related tasks, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Distribution Center Warehouse Supervisor in supervising all personnel in the Distribution Center.
• Manage receiving, surplus property, hazardous materials, mail, and general delivery routes.
• Coordinate the LPS online surplus auction.
• Oversee stock inventory and equipment inventory management.
• Facilitate material transfers and manage warehouse personnel during summer operations.

Requirements

• Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise and coordinate staff activities.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on business matters.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in warehouse settings.
