About the position

The Distribution Clerk - Driver position at Tower Health involves driving a box truck to transport and manage supplies across various hospital locations. The role is essential for ensuring that furniture, equipment, and stock are delivered and organized efficiently, contributing to the overall operations of the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

• Drive a box truck to and from all Tower Health hospital locations to load and unload furniture, tables, chairs, boxes, etc.
• Pick location orders and requisitions for ordering departments.
• Deliver and restock locations as assigned.
• Unload delivery trucks as needed and put away stock received from distributors.
• Complete daily cycle counts of assigned storeroom locations.
• Organize and maintain cleanliness of all storeroom racks, location racks, shelves, and aisles.
• Complete quarterly expiration checks of supplies from par locations utilizing a mobile handheld device.
• Take inventory of assigned par locations utilizing a mobile handheld device.
• Analyze and review locations to ensure all products are assigned the correct bar code, bin location, and bin sequence.
• Notify end users of any backorder supply issues and product conversions.
• Rotate stock and check for outdated items.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Relevant distribution experience strongly preferred.
• Experience driving a box truck on the job strongly preferred.
• PA Driver's License required.
• Computer skills including use and navigation.
• Customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Multitasking and problem-solving skills.
• Service orientation.
