About the position

The Distribution Clerk position at Harris Teeter involves compiling order and shipping data in a perishable warehouse environment. The role requires utilizing computer systems to process orders, manage inventory, and provide outstanding customer service. The clerk will also be responsible for preparing operational documents, conducting inventory counts, and maintaining adherence to safety policies. Responsibilities

• Compile order and shipping data.
• Utilize computers (Triceps) to process orders and track information.
• Prepare documents to support operations, including separation of POS.
• Conduct inventory counts using a Triceps handheld device and make adjustments to inventory.
• Create associates' weekly schedules in VLM and review VLM reports daily.
• Provide outstanding customer service by answering phones and using the PA system.
• Complete additional responsibilities assigned by the Receiving/Shipping Supervisor.
• Follow the company's attendance policy and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software, Excel spreadsheet software, and Triceps System order processing systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to pass Industrial Equipment Certification for cross-training purposes.
