About the position
The Distribution Clerk - Waiver at Fiskars Group plays a crucial role in the logistics team, ensuring the efficient processing and management of shipments. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and proactive communication to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in order processing, data entry, shipment scheduling, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Wave orders, including breaking down labels, to ensure efficient shipment processing.
- Enter details into customer portals to acquire routing information accurately.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with customers, contractors, and internal logistics partners.
- Provide precise load paperwork, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, and Placards.
- Handle urgent customer queries promptly and professionally using company emails and Microsoft Teams.
- Assist in maintaining updated customer requirements for shipping details and changes.
- Track the status of ongoing shipments and maintain productive communication with freight drivers.
- Keep receiving, production, inventory, and shipping supervisors informed about shipment status and product needs.
- Perform timely operative supply chain activities based on established procedures and best practices.
- Maintain and develop expertise in logistics principles and concepts.
- Ensure personal performance meets set safety and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Experience in logistics, shipping, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Teams.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external partners.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in logistics.
