The Distribution Climber/Trimmer position at Utilities Service, LLC involves trimming, topping, and reshaping trees to ensure clearance for utility powerlines. Responsibilities

  • Trim and/or remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
  • Operate and service all required tools and equipment.
  • Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
  • Spray areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Feed brush and debris into wood chippers.
  • Repair minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
  • Service gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment.
  • Relay hand signals, direct traffic, and operate trucks and equipment as assigned.
  • Keep trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
  • Cooperate with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
  • Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and the public.
  • Perform tree and bucket rescue as trained.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Inspect and ensure proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment.
  • Request repair or replacement of tools and equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
  • Perform other related work as assigned by superiors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Entry-level position, no experience required, but previous experience preferred.
  • Driver's License required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in tree trimming or related field.
