Our Distribution Center is seeking a detail-oriented leader to manage inventory assets and ensure compliance with inventory and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated leadership skills and a strong ability to build relationships. This role requires maintaining professional communication with business stakeholders and customers, gaining buy-in, and engaging peers effectively. The successful candidate will be adept at managing through ambiguity, taking the initiative to find solutions, and collaborating with others to problem-solve and meet deadlines. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 8:00 AM, with hours and days varying based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cycle counts.
  • Research and resolve inventory shrink.
  • Manage product rotation and product quality/expiry.
  • Oversee daily audits of receiving.
  • Ensure that shortages/overages are reported, researched, and resolved in compliance with company policies.
  • Manage daily reconciliation and inventory adjustment requirements (e.g. 53210).
  • Supervise Customer Service personnel, ensuring that the customer experience is consistent with company expectations and requests are completed promptly.
  • Liaise with Buyers and Sales team to ensure that DC inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer needs.
  • Oversee administration of recall notifications from vendors, ensuring that recalled product is sequestered and disposed of on time.
  • Ensure that sales, receipts, and returns of controlled substances are completed in accordance with DEA regulations.
  • May require coaching of operations partners.
  • Manage physical inventory process.
  • Ensure inventory compliance and applicable regulatory controls in alignment with established SOPs (e.g. STARS audit, SOX Audits).
  • Serve as front-line contact for internal and external audits.
  • Manage all pertinent financial policies, procedures and metrics related to DC inventory.
  • Manage and develop direct reports as applicable.
  • Build authentic relationships with distribution center team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience and a minimum of 0-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong skills in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • 1+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Leadership skills including coaching and developing teams and employee engagement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of and ability to navigate in SAP.
  • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Automation experience is preferred, full automation is a huge plus.
  • Advanced problem-resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in support of business and mission-critical objectives.
  • Project Management or Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
