About the position

The Distribution Operations Coordinator at BJC HealthCare plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the supply distribution system within the hospital. This position is project-based, focusing on storeroom management, Wavemark, and consignment conversations, ensuring efficient inventory management and resource allocation across the enterprise. The coordinator will also serve as a functional expert, helping to maintain standard work practices and improve service delivery in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Perform service audits and participate in customer service recovery.
• Provide general oversight of departmental operations and serve as the charge person in the absence of the supervisor.
• Represent the department on various supply distribution efforts and initiatives, attending meetings and collaborating with clinicians and customers.
• Maintain subject matter expertise on current and new technologies for managing inventory levels within the hospital.
• Support and determine daily un-fill rates for supply availability, working closely with purchasing, sourcing, and vendors.
• Coordinate the design, layout, and implementation of new par locations, including setup and reporting for hospital renovations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience in a related field

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with PeopleSoft
• Knowledge of inventory management systems such as Wavemark, Atpar, and FLICS
