About The Position

The Americold Summer Internship Experience is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship focused on Distribution Operations within Automated Warehouses. Interns will gain valuable insights into the supply chain industry while working on challenging projects and collaborating with organizational leaders and peers. This internship is designed to foster personal and professional growth, allowing interns to make significant contributions to the company.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
• Prior intern and/or work experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated leadership in work and/or academics.
• Project management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably at all organizational levels.

• Excellent technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong customer service orientation with a sense of urgency in meeting goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of warehouse and distribution management in various areas including Dock & Front Office processes, labor and transportation planning, and inventory control.
• Assist in process engineering and improvement initiatives, including labor standards and continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate and oversee warehouse activities on a shift basis, directing employees in receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations.
• Collaborate with teams and managers to address work-related issues and participate in safety training.
• Adhere to company policies and comply with all Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations.
