About the position

The Distribution Specialist I position at Abbott involves performing manual and clerical duties related to the movement of materials within the Abbott Vascular Diagnostics division. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, compliance with corporate policies, and maintaining inventory integrity.

Responsibilities

• Pulls finished goods parts from bins using a pick list and possibly a radio-frequency device to fill customer orders.
• Enters orders into the computer database using a bar code scanner.
• Packages orders according to specifications and prepares them for labeling and distribution.
• Types pertinent information into shipping software to generate printed labels for product shipment.
• Examines shipment containers for damage and verifies the accuracy of packing slips and invoices.
• Enters material information into the business computer system and generates receipt travelers for material traceability.
• Transports materials using a fork-lift, pallet jack, or truck as needed.

Requirements

• H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 0-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

• Two-year degree or some college credits preferred.
