About the position

The Distribution Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring timely payments to various state and local tax agencies. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to clients by accurately preparing and packaging agency checks for delivery, while collaborating closely with Tax departments and Payroll Distribution teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Tax Filing team with printing, processing, packing, and shipping tax-related items such as Quarterly tax returns, daily deposit payments, coupons, amendment returns, notices, etc.
• Maintain a basic understanding of tax documents including W2's, 941's, 8655's, 1096/1099's.
• Interact with third-party shipping software and track client packages through delivery.
• Safely operate and troubleshoot printers and inserting equipment, escalating any issues as needed.
• Ensure printing and mailing supply inventory is maintained for timely processing of deposits and returns.
• Assist with administrative duties such as filing, responding to internal and external client requests, and double-checking work for accuracy.
• Maintain and update training materials for the Distribution team.
• Monitor e-mails, tickets, and provide follow-up communication as needed.
• Be available to work a fixed schedule of at least 5 days/40 hours per week, including overtime during peak seasons.

Requirements

• High School or GED equivalent education required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Experience working in a distribution environment is preferred.
• Prior experience working with third-party shipping software or in a payroll-related field is preferred.
