Distribution Technician I

About the position

The Distribution Technician I plays a crucial role in the production and distribution of drug products. This entry-level position requires administrative skills for data entry and familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as compliance with DOT regulations. The technician will also assist with physical tasks related to packaging and production, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping returns by performing wipe tests and surveying containers according to regulations.
• Clean packing cases and unit dose containers that previously contained drug products.
• Prepare shipping containers for dose shipment following standard operating procedures.
• Clean and organize classified and non-classified areas within the facility.
• Assist with hazardous material waste removal and shipment.
• Help staff with logistic routing to customer sites and track shipments and returns.
• Maintain and complete required paperwork, logs, documents, and reports.
• Complete cGMP documents as required within SOFIE's Quality Management System.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and perform radiation safety duties.
• Assist with communication between third-party courier services and customers.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, and/or logistics preferred.
• Efficient in the use of MS Office Suite required.
• Ability to work various shifts and weekends required.
• Detail-oriented, accountable, patient, organized, and able to work in a team environment required.
• Professional communication skills with colleagues and customers required.
• Excellent attention to detail and dependability in a fast-paced environment required.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. repetitively required.
