About the position

The District Behavior Support Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting students with behavioral challenges within Durham Public Schools. This position is designed to assist in the implementation of behavioral interventions and support strategies that promote positive behavior and academic success among students. The Behavior Support Assistant will work closely with teachers, school counselors, and other support staff to create a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.   • Knowledge of behavioral management techniques and strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a school setting or with special education students.
  • Certification in behavior management or related field.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
