About the position

The District Business Manager for Hematology at Bristol-Myers Squibb is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals in the Hematology sales territory. This role focuses on driving sales performance, developing team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies while delivering value to customers. Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of highly motivated sales professionals by creating and articulating a vision for the district.
  • Effectively analyzes performance data, market trends, and builds strategic business plans.
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of BMS Hematology products and the competitive landscape.
  • Models and coaches team on exemplary selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Facilitates the growth and development of team members based on their needs and business requirements.
  • Creates an environment of continuous learning and engagement for team members.
  • Leads the team through change while maintaining focus on business needs.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Prior experience as a District Business Manager in Pharmaceutical Sales or equivalent experience in leading high-performing teams.
  • Hematology experience is strongly preferred, including knowledge of reimbursement and access.
  • Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams to meet or exceed goals.
  • Experience in selecting, developing, and retaining talented individuals.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in clinical trials related to Hematology.
  • Familiarity with market access environment.
