About The Position

This position is accountable for investigating and processing property damage for and against the department, such as guardrail, potholes, tractor mower rock throws and other third-party claims. The incumbent assists as backup in processing Workers' Compensation and Auto Liability claims. This position assists with district safety and training programs. Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree majoring in Business Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Education, Journalism or Psychology; OR Completion of two years of college PLUS one year of experience related to accident investigation and/or processing claims; OR Five years of experience related to accident investigation and/or processing claims.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates property damage claims and pursues reimbursement for damages to state property quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensures repair of damaged state property.
  • Effectively collects the payment of claims efficiently and timely.
  • Assists with processing of Auto Liability claims.
  • Assists with processing medical reports, monitoring and organizing Worker's Compensation claims.
  • Assists with safety and health programs.
  • Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules.
  • Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
