About the position

The District Director of Operations will oversee 11 Brookdale senior living communities across Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. This role is crucial for ensuring successful operational outcomes, maintaining strong occupancy rates, and achieving high resident satisfaction in Brookdale's assisted living and memory care facilities. The position requires prior multi-site operations experience, preferably within the senior living or healthcare services industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide short-term tactical direction and oversight for the communities.
• Direct overall operations of assigned communities within a geographic region, overseeing a revenue of $20-60 million.
• Develop long-range objectives and strategies for each community in the region.
• Create annual operating budgets, including census, payroll, staffing, and capital forecasts, while monitoring compliance with financial forecasts.
• Implement company-wide programs in areas such as dining, asset management, finance, and human resources.
• Work with community management to implement sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy.
• Ensure resident services meet the highest quality standards in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Evaluate and enhance public relations efforts at each community.
• Assist regional offices with state survey and licensing preparations.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of Executive Directors within the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Gerontology, Business, or a related field required.
• Minimum of seven to ten years of experience in Operations, Marketing, Financial Planning, and Human Resources Management in a management role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license required for frequent car travel.
