About the position

The District General Manager at The Connor Group is a pivotal role responsible for leading and motivating a team to achieve exceptional customer service and profitability. This position does not require prior industry experience, making it accessible to candidates from diverse backgrounds. The manager acts as a key driver of success, overseeing operations, sales management, and community engagement while ensuring accountability and performance within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate your team while holding them highly accountable.
  • Effectively manage bill-pay, expense control, and full P&L statement.
  • Manage your maintenance team, coordinating work orders and apartment turns.
  • Own all aspects of sales management - Traffic Building, New Rentals, and Renewals.
  • Manage your sales team by selling alongside them.
  • Master operational systems and processes.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Engage in community service through The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners.

Requirements

  • Top-performers with a proven track record in driving a profitable business.
  • 2-4 years as a Store Manager, General Manager, or Market Manager of a highly complex business.
  • Comfortable holding accountability conversations and implementing performance improvement plans with your associates.
  • Hands on, shoulder-to-shoulder with your team.
  • Open to direct feedback, resilient and solutions-oriented.
  • Assertive leader with a passion for developing others.
  • Motivated and thrive in a reward and recognition culture.
