About The Position

Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
• Five years of experience as a locksmith/glazier or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid New Jersey driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Required criminal background check.
• Boiler license required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, coordinates and completes locksmith work orders, projects and assignments.
• Selects appropriate material and hardware and makes time and material estimates.
• Performs locksmith work including routine and emergency repair and replacement of mechanical and electronic lock systems.
• Performs glazier work including routine and emergency repair and replacement of glass and glass-related products.
• Reads blueprints, sketches or building plans; selects and orders types of materials; prepares layouts.
• Communicates and coordinates with supervisors, administrators, staff and other maintenance employees.
• Monitors the status of all assigned tasks and responds to emergency calls as needed.
• Inspects jobs upon completion and ensures all work areas are clean.
