About the position

The District Manager In Training (DMIT) at European Wax Center is a pivotal role designed to prepare candidates for the responsibilities of a District Manager. During the training period, which typically lasts between three to twelve months, the DMIT will be assigned to one or more areas to learn all aspects of sales and operations for Artemis Wax owned European Wax Centers. This position encompasses full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility, focusing on identifying, attracting, and developing talent to consistently meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while driving business growth. The DMIT will gain experience in managing a span of control that includes 8-12 locations, preparing them to lead teams effectively and ensure operational excellence. The role emphasizes the importance of talent management and performance development, as well as achieving sales targets. The DMIT will be expected to uphold the core values of Artemis Wax, which include teamwork, commitment, and a positive energy. The position is salaried and exempt, requiring full schedule availability to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities successfully. The DMIT must be fully trained and ready to transition into the District Manager role when a position becomes available, although there is no guarantee of advancement. Essential job functions include field and people leadership, where the DMIT will lead center performance, inspire teams, and develop Center Managers to reach their full potential. Responsibilities also include coaching, mentoring, and evaluating performance, as well as establishing partnerships with beauty schools for talent recruitment. The DMIT will be responsible for ensuring that all centers maintain cleanliness and adhere to brand standards, while also managing business expectations and performance metrics across the district.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Center Performance and inspire the Team to deliver and exceed both revenue and operating budgets.
  • Develop the Center Manager Team to meet their full potential.
  • Coach, mentor and frequently visit Centers to evaluate and coach performance.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop talent across all levels of the Center.
  • Establish proactive partnerships with beauty schools to drive Wax Specialist recruiting.
  • Train and role model the expected Artemis Wax standards and protocols at all times.
  • Hold the team accountable for adhering to the same standards and protocols.
  • Effectively communicate and set direction with Center Team.
  • Monitor performance, provide recognition and feedback.
  • Ensure each center under supervision is always clean and immaculate and meets all brand standards.
  • Deliver and manage the district's performance across revenue and KPIs.
  • Review and assess Center and Market KPIs daily.
  • Create effective action plans with Centers to improve performance.
  • Deep mastery and coaching of sales and scripts.
  • Manage all aspects of traffic, conversion, and staffing to deliver optimal center performance.
  • Lead and organize operations, including district payroll, ordering, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related and applicable experience in a sales-driven management role.
  • Bachelor's Degree or applicable related work experience.
  • Full proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership.
