About the position

The District Manager In Training (DMIT) at European Wax Center is a pivotal role designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage multiple locations effectively. During the training period, which typically lasts between three to twelve months, the DMIT will be assigned to one or more areas, immersing themselves in all aspects of sales and operations for Artemis Wax owned European Wax Centers. This position is not just about learning; it involves taking on full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility, which is crucial for understanding the financial health of the centers. The DMIT will focus on identifying, attracting, and developing talent to consistently meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while driving business growth. As part of their training, the DMIT will learn to manage a span of control that includes up to 8-12 locations. This role emphasizes the importance of preparing to manage team member talent and performance development, alongside achieving sales and operational excellence. The DMIT will be expected to uphold the core values of Artemis Wax, which include being team players, playing to win, bringing energy, and demonstrating commitment. Essential job functions include field and people leadership, where the DMIT will lead center performance and inspire teams to exceed revenue and operating budgets. They will develop the Center Manager team, coach and mentor them, and frequently visit centers to evaluate and enhance performance. The DMIT will also establish partnerships with beauty schools to drive recruitment efforts for Wax Specialists. Training and modeling the expected standards and protocols of Artemis Wax will be a continuous responsibility, ensuring that all team members adhere to these expectations. In terms of business expectations, the DMIT will manage district performance across revenue and KPIs, reviewing and assessing center and market KPIs daily. They will create effective action plans to improve performance and lead operations, including payroll, ordering, and compliance. This role requires a self-motivated individual with outstanding communication skills, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and prepare to manage all essential functions and responsibilities of the District Manager role.
  • Lead Center Performance and inspire the Team to deliver and exceed both revenue and operating budgets.
  • Develop the Center Manager Team to meet their full potential through coaching and mentoring.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop talent across all levels of the Center.
  • Establish proactive partnerships with beauty schools to drive Wax Specialist recruiting.
  • Train and role model the expected Artemis Wax standards and protocols at all times.
  • Hold the team accountable for adhering to the same standards and protocols.
  • Effectively communicate and set direction with Center Team.
  • Monitor performance, provide recognition and feedback to team members.
  • Ensure each center under supervision is clean and meets all brand standards.
  • Deliver and manage the district's performance across revenue and KPIs.
  • Review and assess Center and Market KPIs daily and coach accordingly.
  • Create effective action plans with Centers to improve performance.
  • Manage all aspects of traffic, conversion, and staffing to deliver optimal center performance.
  • Lead and organize operations, including district payroll, ordering, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related and applicable experience in a sales-driven management role.
  • Bachelor's Degree or applicable related work experience.
  • Full proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership.
  • Self-motivated and process-focused.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful environments.
