About the position

The District Manager In Training (DMIT) at European Wax Center is a pivotal role designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage multiple locations effectively. During the training period, which typically lasts between three to twelve months, the DMIT will be assigned to one or more areas, immersing themselves in all aspects of sales and operations for Artemis Wax owned European Wax Centers. This position is not just about learning; it involves taking full P&L responsibility, identifying and attracting talent, and developing a team that consistently meets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while driving business growth. The DMIT will prepare to manage a span of control that includes 8-12 locations, focusing on team member talent and performance development, as well as achieving sales and operational excellence. The role requires full schedule availability, as the DMIT must be ready to work the necessary days and hours to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities successfully. Essential job functions include field and people leadership, where the DMIT will lead center performance, inspire teams to exceed revenue and operating budgets, and develop the Center Manager Team to reach their full potential. This involves coaching, mentoring, and frequent visits to centers to evaluate and enhance performance. The DMIT will also establish partnerships with beauty schools to drive recruitment and ensure that all centers maintain cleanliness and adhere to brand standards. Business expectations include managing district performance across revenue and KPIs, creating effective action plans for improvement, and mastering sales techniques to optimize center performance.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and prepare to manage all essential functions and responsibilities of the District Manager role.
  • Lead Center Performance and inspire the Team to exceed revenue and operating budgets.
  • Develop the Center Manager Team to meet their full potential through coaching and mentoring.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop talent across all levels of the Center.
  • Establish partnerships with beauty schools to drive Wax Specialist recruiting.
  • Train and role model the expected Artemis Wax standards and protocols.
  • Hold the team accountable for adhering to brand standards and protocols.
  • Effectively communicate and set direction with the Center Team.
  • Monitor performance, provide recognition, and feedback to team members.
  • Ensure each center under supervision is clean and meets all brand standards.
  • Deliver and manage the district's performance across revenue and KPIs.
  • Review and assess Center and Market KPIs daily and coach accordingly.
  • Create effective action plans with Centers to improve performance.
  • Manage all aspects of traffic, conversion, and staffing for optimal center performance.
  • Lead and organize operations, including district payroll, ordering, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience in a sales-driven management role.
  • Bachelor's Degree or applicable related work experience.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and process-focused.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful environments.
