About the position

The District Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting multiple Aramark clients in Central and North Alabama with marketing strategy, guest engagement, storytelling, sales support and more. This role serves as a liaison between Aramark's Marketing team and client's account locations, ensuring that client and consumers' needs are met, while adhering to Aramark standards. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, innovative thinker with a passion for food, a knack for engaging with diverse audiences, and hospitality sales and marketing experience. You will help develop and continuously tell our story around our people, our purpose, and our food. This person will be based at an account in Huntsville or Montgomery and will require frequent travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategic marketing plans that include a mix of customized and proprietary solutions.
  • Collaborates with multiple departments to execute marketing plans to enhance sales and boost guest satisfaction.
  • Builds relationships with clients, student groups, parents/guardians, department heads and community groups.
  • Conducts marketing research through focus groups, surveying, campus mapping, trend development/research, competitive pricing analysis.
  • Develops and executes sales campaigns, including oral and written presentations to various target groups.
  • Supports business development with Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, sales presentations, and Client Business Reviews (CBRs).
  • Coordinates special events, promotions, marketing collateral, media interaction, public relations, website updates, social media.
  • Manages content on network of digital screens including nutrition, promotional, and educational info.
  • Leads a small team that provides on-site support.

Requirements

  • Requires at least 3 years of marketing, sales or merchandising experience.
  • Requires people management experience for at least 2-3 direct reports.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or marketing.
  • A proven ability to increase sales and measure the impact/return on investment on implementation of programs.
  • A demonstrated ability to be proactive and assertive in identifying and capturing growth opportunities, as well as thinking creatively and strategically.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills including presentation, public speaking and client interaction skills.
  • Must be able to efficiently utilize social media and MS Office products to accomplish work tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle.
