About the position

The District Manager is responsible for leading and developing a sales team focused on driving impactful customer interactions and achieving strong sales performance in a compliant manner. This role emphasizes accountability, creativity, and engagement while aligning with Intra-Cellular's vision of delivering innovative treatments for neuropsychiatric and neurologic disorders. The District Manager will oversee staffing, strategic planning, and resource allocation to maximize sales effectiveness and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits and selects Neuroscience Sales Representatives and oversees their training and development.
  • Establishes a high-performance team built on trust, collaboration, and ethical behaviors.
  • Ensures representatives meet/exceed product and brand strategy training targets.
  • Sets ambitious performance and productivity objectives to achieve business goals.
  • Provides consistent feedback and coaching to enhance scientific and disease state expertise.
  • Conducts regular field visits to assess performance and support development through coaching.
  • Monitors region data sets and updates business plans accordingly.
  • Works collaboratively with other functional areas to respond to local opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains local business plans to achieve KPI goals and sales objectives.
  • Completes all company and job-related training as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience; launch and CNS experience preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of field sales management experience.
  • Strong self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent decision-making judgment and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrated success in translating vision into tactical plans.
  • Experience interacting with KOLs and managed care organizations.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of customer segments and market dynamics in neuroscience.
  • Strong business analytic skills.
