About the position

Kohl's is seeking a District Manager to oversee the Ohio South market, responsible for leading 15-20 stores. The role focuses on driving sales, enhancing customer experience, managing profitability, and developing team members. The District Manager will ensure the execution of store priorities and operational best practices while fostering a culture of engagement and talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Driving sales, profit, and productivity while meeting payroll, expense, and shortage goals
  • Teaching, training, and developing your team
  • Delivering consistent merchandise and visual presentation standards in every store
  • Communicating inventory needs and business opportunities to appropriate partners
  • Achieving operational best practices, OMNI execution, and driving clearance sell-through
  • Engaging in market analysis to ensure an exceptional product assortment
  • Enhancing the customer experience throughout your district
  • Writing and delivering reviews for Store Managers, and overseeing the review process for all other managers and associates to ensure effective feedback is provided
  • Promoting associate engagement and supporting manager retention
  • Proactively addressing associate relations concerns in partnership with HR team

Requirements

  • 8-10 years progressive retail experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years store management experience in a high volume, big box environment
  • 2-5 years successful multi-unit leadership experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Strong results-driven focus with the ability to set clear goals and monitor results
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing talent and driving a culture of high-performance
  • Ability to articulate strategic vision and engage others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to foster effective relationships
  • Expert knowledge of business operations and financial management
  • Adaptability and agile thinking with the ability to incorporate multiple perspectives
