About the position

The District Manager, OnStar & Loyalty at General Motors is responsible for engaging and supporting automotive dealerships within the Knoxville, TN territory. This role focuses on building relationships with dealer partners to promote GM's software and subscription services, enhance customer experience, and drive dealership profitability. The position involves regular visits to dealerships, conducting training, and analyzing sales performance to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Engage dealers through regular contacts and business reviews.
  • Build relationships with dealer partners to promote GM software and subscriptions.
  • Develop in-dealership training to onboard customers and drive product adoption.
  • Communicate the benefits of OnStar and GM's tech offerings to dealerships.
  • Act as a liaison between OnStar, GM's vehicle brands, and dealerships.
  • Conduct live training or remote calls with dealer leadership on OnStar's products and services.
  • Analyze sales performance and implement dealer action plans for improvement.
  • Support product launches and ensure effective marketing between dealers and GM.
  • Monitor dealer metrics to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Resolve dealer-customer satisfaction issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in sales and customer service.
  • Experience with automotive dealerships or OEMs is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Comfortable with technology and subscription services.
  • Ability to travel 60 to 70 percent of the time, including overnights.
