About the position

The District Manager for Store Operations at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is a leadership role responsible for driving profitable sales growth across multiple retail locations in Region 1. This position involves overseeing the performance of store management teams, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, and fostering a culture of exceptional customer service. The District Manager will conduct regular store visits, evaluate financial and operational performance, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to achieving results and supporting agency strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable sales growth in stores throughout the assigned district.
  • Lead and develop store management teams to create a high-performing culture.
  • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance and compliance with policies.
  • Ensure adherence to laws, rules, regulations, and policies in retail operations.
  • Create a diverse and motivated team through effective selection and development.
  • Inspire employees and maintain a positive workplace culture focused on customer experience.

Requirements

  • One year as a State Liquor Store Administrator 2; or
  • Two years as a State Liquor Store Administrator 1; or
  • Seven years of retail store experience at the manager or assistant manager level, including administrative and management experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training involving the review, analysis, and implementation of procedures, policies, and directives.
