About the position

The District Manager at IT'SUGAR is responsible for overseeing multiple retail locations within a designated district, focusing on driving sales and profitability through effective management, training, and development of store managers. This role emphasizes creating a positive and engaging work environment while ensuring operational standards are met and customer experiences are exceptional.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple store locations and manage sales and profit in the assigned district.
  • Mentor, coach, and counsel store managers to enhance performance.
  • Lead and motivate teams through positive brand representation and problem-solving.
  • Train managers on customer engagement models and hold them accountable.
  • Make staffing decisions including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Participate in regional initiatives as defined by Store Operations Leadership.
  • Attract and retain qualified candidates for leadership positions.
  • Establish a collaborative selling culture and ensure training in sales programs.
  • Manage operational standards and oversee the district budget.
  • Maintain communication with store managers regarding product recommendations and inventory.
  • Ensure adherence to visual guidelines and brand image.
  • Validate planning and setup for special events and promotions.
  • Communicate loss prevention issues with store managers and escalate as needed.
  • Represent and uphold the company's core values.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of retail experience required.
  • Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a District Manager.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Strong computer skills are necessary.
