About the position

The District Operations Manager at Watts is responsible for overseeing project start-up, commissioning, and after-market activities within a specific geographic district. This role involves close collaboration with the District Sales Manager to ensure the proper installation and operation of Taft Engineering supplied equipment and Watts Applied Solutions products. The position focuses on building strong relationships with contractors and end-users, driving market growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships to enhance revenue growth.
  • Conduct start-ups, commissioning, and system troubleshooting services on existing and new projects.
  • Lead hands-on coaching for contractors and engineers on Watts Applied Solutions products and projects.
  • Lead on-site training programs on equipment with customers and contractors.
  • Develop expertise in the local application, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of Taft Engineering and Watts Applied Solutions Products.
  • Report regularly on customer satisfaction metrics and communicate effectively with the support and customer service team.
  • Identify, educate, and mentor new after-market resources and partners.
  • Remain current with industry trends and product updates.
  • Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Maintain superior levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Analyze and manage expenses to ensure alignment with budget constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • 7 years minimum experience in Operations and Service/Aftermarket with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong business development experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of boiler systems and service and repair businesses.
  • Experience in CRM and service-related software.
