The primary function of the Outside Parts Sales Manager is to work with the Outside Sales force within the area of their responsibility to train, coach and track individual progress. This role will be responsible for identifying target products, and designing and implementing selling strategies to increase sales and gross profits. The Outside Parts Sales Manager will assist individual Parts departments to achieve desired outside sales results (volume, profit and other goals). They will work with individual Parts, Service and Body Shop Managers to develop and communicate parts and service sales strategies, product target goals, targeted/conquest accounts and customer service goals to bring in additional sales opportunities. Additionally, the Outside Parts Sales Manager will assist in the development/sales of new corporate product offerings including scheduling vendor training and joint sales calls for outside sales and their customers. They will monitor call reports, assign or re-assign accounts, target accounts, and follow up on progress. This position also involves hiring, coaching, counseling, and training all Outside Sales Staff, as well as assisting in the development of internal candidates. The role requires a minimum of 50% travel to other locations within the area of responsibility, maintaining communications with District Management and all Corporate Departments, and ensuring compliance with the company Employee and Safety Manual.
