This role is pivotal in driving sales and enhancing the performance of our Outside Sales force across our extensive network of locations in the West and East. The Outside Parts Sales Manager will be responsible for training, coaching, and tracking the progress of individual sales team members, ensuring they meet their sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the company. In this fast-paced work environment, the Outside Parts Sales Manager will collaborate closely with Parts, Service, and Body Shop Managers to develop and communicate effective sales strategies. This includes identifying target products, setting sales goals, and enhancing customer service to create additional sales opportunities. The role also involves assisting in the development of new corporate product offerings, scheduling vendor training, and conducting joint sales calls to evaluate performance. The successful candidate will monitor sales activities, manage accounts, and provide ongoing support to the sales team in implementing their business plans. The position requires a minimum of 50% travel to various locations within the area of responsibility, ensuring that the Outside Parts Sales Manager remains engaged with the sales team and the market. This role is not only about driving sales but also about fostering the growth and development of the sales staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
