Kenworth Sales Company is seeking an Outside Parts Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving sales and enhancing the performance of our Outside Sales force. The Outside Parts Sales Manager will work closely with individual Parts departments to achieve desired sales results, including volume and profit goals. This position requires a proactive approach to developing and communicating effective sales strategies, identifying target products, and implementing selling strategies that will increase sales and gross profits. In this fast-paced environment, the Outside Parts Sales Manager will assist in the development and sales of new corporate product offerings, which includes scheduling vendor training and conducting joint sales calls with the sales team and their customers. The role also involves monitoring call reports, assigning accounts, and following up on progress to ensure that the sales team is on track to meet their business plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, coaching, counseling, and training all Outside Sales Staff, as well as developing internal candidates for future growth. This position requires a significant amount of travel, with a minimum of 50% of the time spent visiting other locations within the area of responsibility. The Outside Parts Sales Manager will also maintain communication with District Management and all Corporate Departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
