About the position

The District Preschool Special Education Teacher at Westerly Public Schools is a full-time position dedicated to providing high-quality educational experiences for preschool-aged children with special needs. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. This role requires a deep understanding of early childhood development and special education practices, as well as the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth for all students. In this position, the teacher will collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to ensure that each child receives the support they need to thrive. This includes conducting assessments, tracking student progress, and adjusting instructional strategies as necessary. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student performance and IEP goals. Requirements
