About the position

The District Production Manager at Paris Baguette is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the sanitation, packaging, and display of products to ensure the highest quality is delivered to customers. This position is integral to maintaining the store's standards and ensuring that all products meet the company's quality assurance protocols. The District Production Manager will lead a team of employees, focusing on education and mentorship to enhance customer satisfaction and uphold the brand's reputation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of food production techniques, sanitation practices, and quality assurance processes, which are essential for achieving the company's mission of providing expertly crafted baked and brewed goods in a warm and welcoming environment. In this role, the District Production Manager will supervise the entire staff within a designated region, recruiting and hiring new team members as needed. They will plan, direct, and manage the schedules of production staff, ensuring that all employees are trained on the importance of quality and sanitation. The manager will also be responsible for setting purchasing plans, evaluating sanitary compliance, and monitoring health inspection standards. They will work closely with the production field manager to establish joint measures for improving sanitation levels and will assess the effectiveness of these initiatives. Additionally, the District Production Manager will prepare reports on new product launches, conduct training related to new products, and provide periodic updates to the production team leader regarding staff performance, product quality, and work activities. This role requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about empowering and motivating team members while fostering a collaborative work environment. The District Production Manager will also act as a brand ambassador, embodying the values and culture of Paris Baguette, and will need to be willing to travel to various corporate and franchise locations as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the entire store staff in a region.
  • Recruit and hire staff for any open positions at stores.
  • Plan, direct, and manage the time and schedule of production staff in stores.
  • Train and educate employees on the importance of quality, sanitation, and food producing techniques to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Set purchasing planning and check the process and facility.
  • Evaluate sanitary compliance by individual staff in factory/store.
  • Monitor health inspection standards compliance and oversee sanitation practices.
  • Establish joint measures to improve sanitary levels with the production field manager.
  • Assess sanitary improvement activities and provide feedback.
  • Evaluate the quality of products produced in stores and conduct improvements training.
  • Prepare reports on new product launches and conduct related training.
  • Provide periodic reports to the production team leader on staff, product, and work activities.
  • Report product defects and calculate product costs.
  • Manage and report personnel expenses of production specialists.

Requirements

  • Educational background as a Confectionery/Foods major (over 6 months courses in Culinary School).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (Bakery/Café experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of food producing processes, sanitation, and quality programs.
  • Knowledge of food producing techniques, food microbiology, and food sanitary safety practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Food Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP Principles, ISO 9000, and baking-related regulatory knowledge.
  • Skills in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Ability to apply technical principles to project management.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
