Responsibilities

  • Set business strategy by staying informed about current trends and leveraging insights to adapt sales strategies.
  • Create effective sales plans that align with market conditions and customer demands.
  • Assess potential opportunities and threats to ensure the sales team is prepared to capitalize on growth areas.
  • Equip teams with necessary product and industry knowledge to confidently position Insulet products in the market.
  • Engage in the recruitment process to build a high-performing sales team.
  • Coach and mentor sales team members on executing sales strategy and clinical support.
  • Deliver regular feedback to enhance team performance and inspire outstanding results.
  • Ensure compliance with established promotional guidelines and maintain necessary credentialing for team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key diabetes decision makers and influencers.

  • Oversee execution of field sales activities and manage budget and resource utilization across assigned territories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the medical device industry or related healthcare sector.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing a field-based sales team.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to create and implement strategic sales plans.
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmacy benefits and insurance access, reimbursement processes, and account management.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and product approval processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of identifying challenges and making data-driven decisions.
  • Strong technological proficiency.

  • Possess a strong network of established professional relationships with endocrinologists and primary care providers specializing in diabetes.
