About the position

The District Sales Manager is a pivotal role responsible for leading and directing all sales activities and results across all centers within the assigned district, specifically focusing on the Alabama territory. This position is crucial in driving profitability at both the district and infusion center levels by effectively leading frontline associates and managing sales activities to achieve desired results established by leadership. In this role, you will manage the profitability within your district's budget by maximizing profitable revenue, staffing levels, and sales expenses while also focusing on patient growth. You will work closely with Center Operations Managers (COMs) and regional leadership to ensure the highest quality of support for patients. Understanding the business implications of decisions is essential, as is fostering interdependence and collaboration among team members. You will monitor progress in meeting established objectives and ensure optimum coverage for all customers and potential customers. Your responsibilities will include overseeing pre-call plans and contact reports through client relationship management (CRM), completing customer contact and market reports, and informing leadership on market changes. You will forecast sales performance and ensure effective distribution of products in the district, including adequate stocking and coverage of all distribution channels. Additionally, you will utilize staff as consultants in coordinating large programs such as symposia and medical director engagements. Managing and controlling expenses to maximize return on investment is also a key aspect of this role. The position requires extensive travel, and you will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and evaluating the performance of your direct reports.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years sales and business development experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
